Lets Rock and Party at The Palace is the perfect collaboration of two of the best known providers of fun, friendly festivals in Scotland. Saturdays line up has been curated by Lets Rock and Sunday’s line up by Party at The Palace. This offers fans of both festivals the event they know and love while hopefully being an attractive proposition for the whole weekend.

With 3 stages of music and comedy, delicious street food options, silent disco, kids activities, fairground rides, family yoga and wellbeing, djs  and great transport links from around the country, this is the perfect weekend festival for those who like to party.

Please note that we do not allow overnight parking or camping in the car parks.

Only bring what you REALLY need. Bringing the kitchen sink will delay your entry and everybody behind you will hate you as well! So with that in mind, here’s a list of things you can bring and things you can’t:

Please Bring:
Your tickets – download them onto your phone or print them off.
I.D. – we operate a Challenge 25 policy across all bars.
Sensible footwear.
An empty water bottle for filling up at our water stations.
It’s an outdoor event in Scotland so pack some sun cream and a poncho.
Chairs and brollies are allowed in the marked zones. Please only use them with consideration to other customers.
Cash – we accept cards however the wi-fi can be patchy so money is a safer bet.
Medication – make sure you have any medication you require with you.

Do not bring:

Tents or gazebos.
Fireworks or pyro of any kind.
Pets / animals
Professional camera/video/audio equipment with removable lenses
Drones
Glass bottles or glassware of any kind.

We absolutley are suitable families, we have kids activities and are very family friendly. Please note that for young children under 2 we do advise hearing protection as their ears are still developing and the loud music may cause hearing damage.

Yes picnics are allowed at Lets Rock / Party at the Palace subject to usual restrictions

Lets Rock / Party at the Palace is only a short walk from Linlithgow train station. Regular services run on the Edinburgh to Glasgow mainline via Falkirk High as well as services to Dunblane via Stirling and connections north. The last services leave:

To Glasgow: 23:47
To Edinburgh: 23:27
To Stirling: 23:17

We have teamed up with concert travel specialists Happy Bus to provide coach travel. There will be coaches running from a number of locations including Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk, Fife, Perth and Edinburgh. The Happybus prices are highly competitive with rail so if you had been planning to come by train please consider getting one of these coaches which depart from near the train stations. These buses must be booked in advance HERE.

We would encourage customers to consider the environment and choose alternative modes of getting to the site, however if you need to bring a car, there is limited onsite parking at the event WHICH MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE. HERE.

Only use the designated car park and follow directions from our event stewards. The speed limit around the parking areas is 5mph and must be observed. NO OVERNIGHT PARKING PERMITTED.

Disabled parking – display blue badge to be admitted to the disabled parking area.

These buses will leave from their normal departure points on the specified bus schedules shown HERE.  Extra buses are being put on to Falkirk and Edinburgh by Firstbus on the 38 route but get to the stop in plenty of time as they will be busy.

If you are being dropped off by car, taxi/private hire or mini-bus, we recommend the lay by on Blackness Road. This is a drop off point only and cars must not wait or park here. The pick up point after the event is the car park to the rear of Tesco. Taxis and cars can wait here safely without blocking the roads around the event.

Getting to Party at The Palace

The event takes place on farmland across two fields. Both are grass surface and have an incline so not ideal terrain for wheel chairs.

Getting to the site:

Car parking
– access to the Blue Badge holders area is via the main car park. Please follow the parking marshals directions. This is free and does not need to be pre-booked. It is a walk of around 250m (150 grass and 100 hard surface) to the ticket check point and a further 100m to the disabled viewing platform.

Car Drop Off
– the best area to drop off is at the bottom of the road leading to the event. This is a busy route and is strictly for dropping off only. It is a walk of around 150 metres up an incline to the ticket check point and a further 100m to the disabled viewing platform.

Disabled Viewing Platform
– There is a platform cordoned off for disabled spectators with a view looking down towards the stage in a natural amphitheatre. Two accessible loos are situated adjacent to the platform. Space on the platform is on a first come basis and cannot be reserved. Additional seating for carers is available. We may need to prioritise those with disabilities in busy periods.

Surfaces:
The event site is spread over 2 fields. They are separated by a tarmac drive. There is a gravel surface connecting the 2 fields with a gradient between them. That area aside, the entire site is grass and not very wheelchair friendly.

From the Station:
It’s around 1km from the station to the event site. Pavement all the way however there are slopes up and down between the station and the site. The worst of which is probably the one down from the station to the High Street.

To conclude; it is an outdoor music festival, taking place on farmland so we are not able to offer the kind of facilities that you would expect to find in a purpose built venue however we have made consideration to those with walking difficulties, people in wheelchairs and those with kids in pushchairs. We have asked our staff to assist at all times – this could include such things as pushing a wheelchair, or nipping to the bar or food vender.

We are delighted to be able to offer a large range of locally sourced, freshly prepared food and covering all dietary requirements.

The event takes place on a grass field which includes an incline. The terrain may not be suitable for all types of buggy or wheelchair but our stewards are there to help and assist where possible. Loos for people with disabilities and baby changing facilities are available on site.

While many find it comfortable and convenient taking in a small folding chair to sit on, they are deemed an inconvenience by others. To strike a balance, the event does allow people to bring in camping chairs however they will not be allowed to be positioned directly in front of the stage. There will be a ‘chair free zone’ in a stewarded area around 50 metres from the stage. There is a very large area beyond that in which you are welcome to ‘park’ your seating for the whole day and you can then of course move closer to the stage when you fancy getting into the thick of it and retiring back to your seats again – just like at the dancin! We would also ask you to think of the environment and take your chairs home with you”

Following advice from Police Scotland and in line with other music events this summer, we are obliged to pass on the following information.

In light of recent events, there will be an increased security and police presence at this years event. All customers and belongings may be subjected to searches.  Those caught in possession of any restricted item will have the item confiscated and may be refused entry. In addition we would ask you to consider fellow revellers; more bags mean more searches meaning larger queues. We will operate a fast track queue system for those without bags to enter quicker.

Small camping chairs will still be allowed in, however they will not be allowed to be positioned in the zone directly between the stage and mixing position.

Please do not leave items unattended at any time and you see anything suspicious, please alert a member of security or police.

Your safety is paramount to the success of the event. We want you to have a great time and we appreciate your cooperation.

Local taxi companies have been made aware of the event and will be operating from the normal taxi stance in Linlithgow on the High Street. It would be advisable to pre-book.

We are keen for everyone to enjoy the event and we want to get you all home safely. Your patience on leaving the site is vital to the safety and well being of all those attending the event. Please take your time, follow instructions from stewards and keep to paths and pavements.  Be aware of cars leaving the carpark and drop off points.

We do everything we possibly can to minimise disruption local residents. Unfortunately, some noise is unavoidable. However there are local authority guidelines which the event must adhere to.
